The National Concrete Masonry Association (NCMA) is offering free online courses on the fundamentals of the concrete masonry industry.
Free to architects, specifiers, engineers, and construction professionals – the courses cover all aspects of the concrete masonry field and can be taken at your own pace. No prerequisites are required.
Hosted by AEC Daily, these courses are USGBC-approved for GBCI CE hours and are eligible for continuing education credits through the AID/CES system. Simply create an account and download course materials.
Among the recent course offerings is “The Next Generation of Concrete Masonry” which examines how changes to codes and standards have made concrete masonry a more cost-effective building solution. The course reviews changes to ASTM C90 and masonry design standards and the benefits and opportunities presented by these requirements. Another, “Concrete Masonry: The Energy Efficiency Solution,” educates users on the thermal benefits of concrete masonry systems and energy code compliance options.
